Sidewalk cafes have become a part of every Sydneysiders life–whether for a quick cup of coffee or a leisurely Sunday brunch–we enjoy to sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by. The soft Autumn light is seen here filtering through the trees that have created an oasis in the busy city streets – a perfect place to sit outside over a cup of coffee and enjoy the gentle sunshine

Misty morning on Lavender Bay
Lavender Bay, located on the North side of the Harbour Bridge, is one of many small bays to be found in and around Sydney Harbour. It's quiet waters offer a safe haven for these sailing boats that can be seen through the rising early morning mist whilst the soft pink light of the filtered sun is reflected in the bay's unruffled waters. A fisherman and his daughter are taking advantage of the beautiful morning in the hopes of enticing the little fish that congregate under the pylons of Lavender Bay Wharf.

Spring morning at St. James Square
Spring flowers on sale outside the entrance to St. James Station create a bright splash of colour on Sydney's sidewalks that have been left wet by a passing shower. The soft morning sun is leaving shafts of light as it filters through the clouds and down onto the trees that line Elizabeth Street.

Les Bouquinistes – Left Bank, Paris
Les Bouquinistes, the little book shops that line the banks of the River Seine in the St. Germain and Latin Quarter of Paris, are a treasure trove of second-hand books and prints that passers-by can casually examine as they stroll along the banks of this beautiful river. This painting was painted on the Quai des Grand Augustins looking over the Pont St-Michel towards the spires of the Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite.
